From Your Gift Their Future Blossoms

Leave a gift in your Will

Leaving a gift or legacy to Faith in Families is a wonderful way of supporting vulnerable children in our community. Choosing to leave a gift in your will can make all the difference to a child’s future. Every donation made really does change children’s lives and we rely on our voluntary income to enable us to deliver our much needed work throughout communities.

Why should you leave a gift to Faith in Families?

The gift of a better chance in life is priceless. Faith in Families works with vulnerable children and young people to ensure they get the most from life. This includes working with adopted children and families, children and young people in schools, and adopted adults. Unfortunately we do not receive funding for all of the work we do and therefore rely on people like you to enable us to achieve this goal. Our aim is to offer lifelong support so that, whenever we’re needed, we’re here. We need your support so that Faith in Families can continue to do this for years to come.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I need a Will?

Having a written Will means your estate goes exactly where you want to. Surprisingly, many people die without writing a Will, which can leave families and friends to make difficult decisions. For your peace of mind it is important you have a written Will.

When should I write a Will?

There’s no time like the present. Life-changing events such as getting married, starting a family or suffering a bereavement can change your priorities; so it’s best to get one sorted, so you know your loved ones will be looked after. You can always change and amend it if your circumstances change.

Who do I contact to write my Will?

There are plenty of reputable Law Solicitors out there. Speak to family and friends for a recommendation or search  Sometimes there are special weeks in the year when you are allowed to write a Will for free.

Do I need to inform you I have included Faith in Families in my Will?

Whilst you don’t need to tell us, we do appreciate knowing. We will send you a ‘thank you’ letter and let you know how your money will support the children we work with in the future.

How much do I need to leave?

That is entirely up to you. There are two main ways to leave a donation. It can be a Residuary Legacy which basically means a percentage share of your estate, that would be left after your loved ones are taken care of; or a Pecuniary Legacy, which is a lump sum of an amount you choose.

I want my money to go to a specific area of your work, can I do this?

Yes. Faith in Families supports different children in different ways. For example, as well our Adoption services we also offer a School Social Work service. You can specify where you would like your money to go towards or keep it to the general work that we do, which will be spread across all areas. Please call us if you would like more information on this.
