Have spare time and want to give back to your community?
Faith in Families owes much of its success to our dedicated and hardworking volunteers. We’ve many opportunities for people interested in supporting our adoption and children’s charity; including helping with events, general administration, becoming an adoption champion, or serving as a trustee. Volunteers know they’re making a positive impact on children’s lives and learning new skills.
Why volunteer with Faith in Families?
It’s a great opportunity to join our very friendly group of volunteers; who provide an invaluable contribution to the charity’s work, bring excitement and enthusiasm and create positive changes.
In return Faith in Families commits to ensuring our volunteers feel fully supported and are offered the same opportunities as paid staff in terms of training, supervision, and feeling valued and appreciated.
What you could do
There are lots of volunteer roles available with Faith in Families. We’d match your skills set to an available role, or work with you to see how you could best support us. Here is what you could get up to:
Helping out at Fundraising events, including organisation and on the day.
Become a member of our Adoption Panel, which meets once a month to consider applications from prospective adopters. We’re keen to hear from adopted adults, people who’ve experience of the care system; and those from Black, Asian and ethnic minority backgrounds, who are currently under-represented on our panel.

Feel passionate about adoption? We need people to help us share the messages about adoption through social media.
Become a member of Faith in Families’ Board, and bring your knowledge and expertise to the table. Use your skills and experience to help Faith in Families have a long and successful future protecting vulnerable children across the East Midlands.
